DOWNLOADING DVD MOVIES

DVD Movies are brilliant, but they’re quite expensive. Wouldn’t it be great if you could Download them ? Well you can, sort of. The trouble is that it’s illegal, this doesn’t stop many people, but if you get caught the consequences could be very bad.

There could be legitimate reasons for you wanting to Download a DVD Movie, perhaps your DVD has become damaged, so surely it is legal to Download a replacement ? Well this is a grey area the truth is nobody is sure. It’s probably safe if you do it for yourself, but if you ever try to distribute the DVD’s then you will no doubt get in serious trouble.

If you still want to Download full length DVD movies, then where do you go to get them ? Well you can of course search on the Internet, but tracking any down will be very difficult since Websites often get closed down.

You could try a P2P File sharing application to Download your Movies from, the most popular being Bit Torrent. However these are likely to be riddled with Viruses and other forms of Malware.

Video Files are very large, it’s only feasible to Download them if you have a Broadband Internet Connection, if you have Dial Up then it would take a lifetime to get a File! Although when Downloading DVD movies which you actually Download is much below DVD quality, and often will not include any of the extras.

The typical Movie is between 600 MB and 1 GB in size, very big with today’s connection speeds.

You can download some TV episodes from the Internet some of these are legally obtainable. For example if you Download from a TV stations Website, then they are allowing you to have the material for free.

There are some Chinese Websites that allow the streaming of Movies, however these would probably be illegal to use within America, and whether or not they’re restricted to China only we do not know.

Some of the TV-Show Downloads are illegal though, Downloading Simpson’s or Futurama episodes seems to be quite illegal. There was a problem with the series of lost being leaked onto the Internet before it was on TV, however this did nothing but improve the Ratings.

We do not think it’s worth the hassle to Download pirated DVD Movies, the quality is often rubbish, especially if it’s still on at the Cinema. If the film is still showing at the Cinemas then what you are likely to Download is a taped recording of the Cinema film, some people don’t even bother to rent out the whole movie theatre because you can hear coughing and see people standing up and getting in the way!

Don’t let pirated Downloaded Films spoil your enjoyment wait until it comes out on DVD then you can enjoy it properly. Or you could try borrowing the DVD from a friend, or even rent it! Downloading films is not only illegal, it’s also pretty pointless.

Besides from it is illegal - Downloaded Movies are bad because:

• The quality is very poor.
• Downloading takes what seems like a lifetime.
• It may spoil the enjoyment of the Film.
• The Audio won’t be in Surround Sound.
